You can listen to the waves pounding the beach. The ocean is
about a 10 minute drive to one of the most pristine beaches in the
world.
There are many covered decks overlook the swimming pool which is
a main feature of this property. From this area one can enjoy the
reflection in the skies of the beautiful Costa Rican sunsets and
view wildlife in the trees of the tropical rain forest.
The top part of the house is your space (the owners live below in
a private suite from Nov to April). The home was built in Nov 2008,
so everything is still like new.
The 2 bedrooms are a very good size and each one has its own
private full bath. Each bedroom has a queen bed and one bedroom has
a single bed by the window... which is full size single bed with 6 "
high density foam... very comfortable.
The kitchen is state of the art and equipped for you to prepare
dinner using the local fresh produce and meats. You can enjoy your
meal in the elegant dining area inside or on the deck outside. The
home is outfitted with beautifully Costa Rican made furniture.

The Unique Benefits at this Costa Rican House...
Brooks Hacienda offers accommodations in a quiet, private
neighbourhood. There are 8 luxury homes in this area owned by
Americans and Canadians. The house is about a 15 minute walk from
the main road. This allows you a very relaxed and tranquil vacation.
We are away from the traffic, fumes and walk in traffic. The house
is new since 2008, so all the appliances, housewares, and fixtures
are in 100% working order. The view from the many decks is jungle.
You cannot see the ocean but you can hear it. It is just thru the
park on the other side of the trees. The house is situated far
enough away from the trees that you do not feel enclosed. The house
borders on Manuel Antonio National Park so you see many different
animals and creatures, and hear sounds that you would never hear if
you were not on the border of the park. The pool at Brooks Hacienda
is a vacation in itself. Always sparkling clean. It is large enough
to do your laps as well as float around on one of the many air
mattresses and enjoy a tanning session. The beach area with jacuzzis
at your back, is a great place to sit and read a book while staying
cool. Brooks Hacienda is a welcoming home and awaits your visit.
About the Owners...
My husband, Randy and I, Kate are from British Columbia, Canada.
We have a organic pear orchard in that province and have been active
organic advocators since 1991. We have enjoyed visiting Costa Rica
since 1994. In 2004, we decided on the location of Manuel Antonio
(after many ventures around the country) and bought a lot. It took
us 4 years to build Brooks Hacienda. It was a great experience,
especially learning Spanish and conversing with our contractor and
employees. We live 6 months in Canada and 6 months in Costa Rica. We
feel we have the perfect life. We love to meet people, so we built
accommodations for people to come and stay at our lovely home and
enjoy it and this beautiful country.
Why the Owner Chose Manuel Antonio...
We chose to buy property in Manuel Antonio because it is the
rainforest. The animals, wildlife, flora and fauna are alive and
well. We love the vegetation and the warmth and moisture the climate
offers. We also love the people of Manuel Antonio. The locals as
well as the settled ex-pats. We travelled to many different areas
of Costa Rica and experienced different developed tourist areas.
This area has all the availability of tourist attractions and great
restaurants as more populated areas, but we get the more
adventuresome crowd. It is a smaller area and so far, the community
has been able to keep the chain hotels at bay. Manuel Antonio is
close to the old port town of Quepos, which offers great shopping
for all your grocery supplies. There is everything from fresh
seafood, vegetable and fruits to organic products sold in a grocery
store. This quaint town also offers good restaurants and night life.
You can enjoy many cultural events if your here at the right time of
year. Costa Ricans love to celebrate any event.
